The Irish Women Lawyers Association is pleased to host an information and panel discussion webinar entitled ‘Article 41.2 – A Woman’s Place in the Home During Covid-19?’ 

Article 41.2 of the Constitution, often referred to as ‘the Woman in the Home’ Article, is due for further consideration at the Citizens’ Assembly.  The webinar will be chaired by Cathy Smith BL and IWLA is delighted that Denise Roche of the National Women’s Council of Ireland will participate in this discussion.

Anne Conlon BL will give a brief overview of the law.  Rosemarie Hayden, solicitor will describe the historical basis for the law and look at the effect of Covid-19 on women in the home.  Finally, Denise Roche will set out the position of the NWCI on the Article and on the impact of Covid-19 on women, followed by a panel discussion.
